Introduction

This Periodicals List provides the titles, volumes, and issues of each journal, magazine, and newsletter received in print in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Library. Periodicals are listed alphabetically by title. Next to each title is the range of volume numbers, the issue numbers where appropriate, and the dates of the periodicals on the shelves.

If a title is current (i.e., the library continues to receive it on a regular basis), the beginning volume number and date will be listed followed by a hyphen as illustrated below:

TitleVolumeDate
Corrections Compendium2-1977-

If the library has stopped receiving a title, both the beginning and ending dates will be indicated as shown below:

TitleVolumeDate
Federal Prisons Journal1-31989-1994

Periodicals may be identified by volume and/or issue numbers. Therefore, to differentiate between these numbers, which appear under the "Volume" column, the symbol "#" is used to denote the issue number(s) as shown below:

TitleVolumeDate
The Public Interest#90-1988-
Journal of Gang Research4#1-1996

The first example indicates we have every issue of The Public Interest since 1988, issue number 90, while the second means we have the Journal of Gang Research starting with Volume 4, Issue No. 1.

If any of these print subscriptions are also available electronically, it is indicated as shown below:
